Process: the PE PROCESS APPLIED

The Compact WWTP by PE applies the extended aeration biological process which enacts the waste waters treatment without sludge production.

Process Description

The biological flocs produced rapidly gravitate to the bottom of the clarification

The purified water is discharged

The settled sludge is returned back by the Helixor Sludge Recycling system, equipment specially designed and purposely built for

Surface scums are removed from the clarification and returned to the mixed liquor

Mixing and Aeration

Mixing and Aeration, as well as sludge recirculation, are achieved by the use of PE Equipment such as

Jet-Helix High Yield Diffusers

and

HELIXORS Air Diffuser

supplied with compressed air through a proper air distribution piping system by a dedicated air blower unit suitable designed for the application

Oxygen Transfer Capacity

The PE Equipment such as Jet-Helix and Helixors used in the Compact WWTP by PE perform the two fundamental functions required to obtain a correct biological waste water treatment:

  • OXYGEN TRANSFER 

efficiently provides sufficient oxygen to achieve the optimum process rates

  • MIXING

creates turbulent mixing so that the two reactants, substrate and micro -organisms, can be brought into intimate contact

 

without any foreclosures and / or limitations on the entry parameters values

 

The required oxygen is guaranteed by the use of Jet-Helix High Yield Diffusers and of Helixors Diffusers
